Do you have kiddos who turn their noses up at salad? I have a some suggestions that might help.
GROW A GARDEN
Try growing your own garden veggies. Lettuce is the first crop we put in each year, and we plant a few varieties so the kids have options. My boys are more likely to eat vegetables from a garden they helped tend.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Start with really simple salads. We are fine with our kids eating just plain lettuce. Or add one ingredient like raisins or sunflower seeds. My picky eater definitely eats better when dishes are very basic.
TOP WITH FRUIT
Top lettuce with fruit instead of veggies. Lettuce counts as the vegetable so why not top it with some colorful berries that kids can’t pass up?
SWEET MAPLE SALAD DRESSING
Add Sweet Maple Dressing. My kids love this recipe, and we keep a big jar on hand.
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon dairy-free milk
2-3 tablespoons real maple syrup
2 tablespoons vinegar
Whisk ingredients together and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
