Nothing says summer like a fresh squeezed pitcher of lemonade. And since I can buy a bag of lemons so inexpensively at Aldi, this has become a favorite in our house. My kids actually do all the work and think it’s a novelty to juice the lemons. Mom win!
Do be sure to clean the lemons before cutting. See my post on cleaning produce.
Unless you’re allergic to lemons, this is a great allergy-friendly drink for family and friends. And you can control the sugar, too! No corn syrup, no artificial dyes. Just the real thing. I like using raw sugar and have been known to cut the sugar to lip-puckering levels. My kids don’t know any better. 😉
We use this recipe from Simply Recipes. Cheers!
