Quick & Easy Tortilla Pizzas

Easy Tortilla Pizza

The thought of making homemade dairy-free pizza can be a little overwhelming at first.

That’s why we started our milk allergy journey with tortilla pizzas.

Even though I make an easy peasy pizza sauce,

we don’t have to worry about making homemade dough this way.

One less step!

And despite now having lots more pizza options these days,

we still turn to tortilla pizzas for a quick easy dinner on busy days.

It’s a quick, easy meal that takes less than 30 minutes.

And the kids love to help!

This way, it’s personal pizzas all the way around.

Kids can whip up the pizza sauce in five minutes,

just 4 simple ingredients from the pantry. Recipe below.

While mom and dad clean and chop produce,

the kids can start building their own pizzas how they like.

While tortilla pizzas are pretty light (just the way I like it),

be sure you make enough to fill everyone’s bellies.

Sometimes kids eat two.

Big kids may eat more.

That’s why I also serve a nice side salad with our tortilla pizzas.

This is the perfect Friday night tradition, if I do say so myself.

Below is our pizza sauce recipe,

favorite toppings,

and more dairy-free pizza ideas so you can mix it up.

Just make sure your tortillas are dairy-free if you have a milk allergy.

Always check labels.

Easy 4-Ingredient Pizza Sauce

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Just combine all ingredients together.

No heating or cooking required.

Spread onto your pizza dough and cook pizza as usual.

How To Make Tortilla Pizzas

To build our pizzas, we first cover tortillas with pizza sauce.

Then we top with protein, veggie, and dairy-free cheese.

But of course, make your pizzas however you like.

Here are our favorite dairy-free toppings.

Protein toppings for tortilla pizza:

dairy-free pepperoni

Vegetable toppings for tortilla pizza:

green peppers

For cheese, we use shredded dairy-free cheese sparingly.

Bake tortilla pizzas in the oven on a low rack at 400 degrees until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Make at least one tortilla pizza for each member of your family.

With the very thin crust, these are not super filling and everyone will want a lot.

Hope you love tortilla pizzas as much as we do!
