Rice Crispy Treats, classic right?
I remember realizing I could make these dairy-free years ago, and being so pleased with myself.
These are a great “normal” treat for guests and potlucks and don’t take up any expensive dairy-free chocolate. Win!
To make these soy-free as well, make sure your dairy-free butter is free of soy. Not all are.
Make these extra special by cutting them into shapes with cookie cutters, decorating with frosting, or rolling them into balls.
Dairy-Free & Soy-Free Rice Crispy Treats
1 10 oz. bag of marshmallows
3 Tbs dairy-free, soy-free butter
6 cups of rice crispy cereal
Melt butter and marshmallows in a large pot over medium heat, stirring constantly. When melted, remove from heat and add 6 cups of rice crispies. Fold the cereal and marshmallow mixture together using a spatula.
Pour into a greased (dairy-free, soy-free) 9×13″ pan. Press into pan with clean, wet fingers.
Let sit 15 minutes before cutting.
Store in an airtight container.
