Chili Dogs Dairy-Free

Hey friends, today I thought we could talk about dairy-free chili dogs.

This is actually a “leftover meal”. Boom, two meals in one!

dairy free chili dogs recipe

Cook once, eat twice meals save me a ton of time and energy in our busy family.

And for that reason, we love making easy homemade chili.

Great for hosting a crowd,

great for laid back Sunday’s,

great easy crock pot food.

And these chili dogs are what we make a day or so after having chili.

They’re the perfect quick meal for busy nights or when you just want the night off from cooking.

Reheat the chili, cook the hot dogs on the grill or stove or even in the microwave,

and you’re good to go!

Here are the dairy-free hot dogs we use.

Also make sure you’re using dairy-free hot dog buns if you have milk allergy.

They can be hard to find, but they are out there.

Ingredients often change with bread and buns so always double check.

You may find your favorite buns now have milk.

Or you may find a new brand that’s all of a sudden milk-free!

Happens to me all the time.

It’s hard to even recommend a brand of hot dog buns because they change too much.

Then we top our chili dogs with leftover heated chili and diced onions.

Serve with a side of veggies and chips and you’re good to go!

This is a fun way to dress up those boring old hot dogs.

If you prefer canned chili in a pinch, here’s a dairy-free canned chili for your hot dogs.

We hope you love dairy-free chili dogs as much as we do!

You've mentioned dairy-free hot dog buns a couple of times and I was wondering if you make those yourself. I have been comforted to find your blog, as I am a nursing mom on a dairy-free diet to begin solving my son's eczema mystery. Thanks!

Hi Elese, we actually have found a couple to buy. I've never made them. You are such a good mama, I remember cutting milk for nursing safely.
