Wow, cooking thick pork chops in the air fryer worked amazingly well.
And we made them dairy-free for our food allergy family.
Here’s our favorite recipe!
Alright, folks.
We finally got an air fryer (affiliate) this Christmas.
And having several days off this holiday break is giving us (read, my husband) plenty of time to experiment.
Last night, we started with the typical chicken nuggets and french fries.
With that meal, picky kiddo who doesn’t like baked french fries actually noticed these were “fried”.
He deemed the air fryer french fries “much better”…and ate them all.
But tonight, we went the other extreme.
We got crazy with premium pork chops fresh from the butcher.
Look out!
When hubby unwrapped these, he was shocked at how thick they were.
I’m the one who bought them…with no plan for how to actually cook them, ha!
Typical.
Hubs was certain they were too thick for an air fryer to actually cook through in less than 30 minutes.
However, he didn’t give up that easily.
While I played in my new year planner,
dear hubby searched online for any possible way to cook these babies in our new air fryer.
And he found it!
Six spices, brown sugar, and some oil…
this recipe was simple and dairy-free.
Just the way we like it!
Actually, quite allergy-friendly. Hope you can try it!
PIN IT FOR LATER
We served these pork chops with green beans and sweet potatoes with dairy-free butter and cinnamon.
You guys, these were so thick that our family of four shared just two…
and we still had leftovers.
So that’s how impressive it was that the air fryer (affiliate) actually cooked these through. 🙂
They took just under 20 minutes to cook, even though the recipe says 12 minutes.
Maybe ours were thicker.
But that’s ok! They were delicious and worth the wait.
See the recipe is below.
I will archive this recipe, for sure, in our air fryer files in Milk Allergy Mom Membership.
I hope you are there with us. 🙂
Now here is the dairy-free air fryer pork chop recipe, just 9 ingredients, under 20 minutes.
Hope you love these pork chops as much as we do!
