Even though some store-bought salad dressings look ok for milk allergy,
it’s just too darn easy to make this one myself.
And it’s my son’s favorite!
Dairy-free, egg-free, vegan french dressing, yum.
Or as kiddo called it as a toddler, “red dressing”.
I make it in five minutes with just five easy ingredients.
And it truly does taste better than bottled.
We use this dressing on salads, in taco salad, and as a veggie dip sometimes.
To get a flavorful tangy taste, my secret ingredient is apple cider vinegar.
Not just any vinegar will do!
The recipe below makes a LOT, I love to use a 2 cup ball jar.
Then we keep it in the refrigerator for a couple weeks, especially when lettuce is a plenty in the garden.
Feel free to cut the recipe in half, though.
See my video in this post for more about that.
WHAT SALADS FOR FRENCH DRESSING
We love to use this dressing on three salads especially, all kid-friendly!
- spinach, mushroom, bacon
- taco salad with tortilla chips
- garden salad with cucumbers and tomato
Here’s our yummy, dairy-free taco salad that even my picky kiddo loves.
Our other favorite dairy-free dressing? Dairy-free, vegan ranch!
EASY DAIRY-FREE FRENCH DRESSING

Hope you love this vegan french dressing recipe as much as we do!
