Easy & Fun Banana Splits

A dairy-free banana split may sound impossible.

But when we break down the ingredients, it’s actually quite easy!

The perfect, easy summer treat even for a milk allergy family.

Dairy Free Banana Split

Oh milk allergy moms,

I know you’re going to love this dairy-free banana split for your kids!

I mean, hey, there’s a fruit involved, lol.

Mom win!

It took me several years into food allergies to realize a dairy-free banana split wasn’t too far fetched.

Just break down the ingredients, and it’s actually quite easily possible.

Since taking this photo, dairy-free whipped cream is even a thing now. Woohoo!

Don’t forget the whip.

As you can see, I didn’t cut the bananas long-wise as tradition would have it.

Nope, kids like sliced bananas. HA! So much easier.

Kind of like sloppy joes in hotdog buns.

I don’t know if I’ll ever eat like a grown up again, know what I mean?

But back to the milk-free banana split.

Here’s your steps!

STEPS TO MAKE A DAIRY-FREE BANANA SPLIT

BANANA SPLIT BOWL

Waffle bowls are way more fun than bowls you can’t eat.

This is so fun for our kids who sometimes miss out.

Here’s the brand we bought at Target. Double check labels for yourself, ingredients can change.

VANILLA ICE CREAM

Next, have your favorite dairy-free vanilla ice cream on hand.

My son loves store-bought coconut based vanilla ice cream.

Or we make dairy-free home-made vanilla ice cream in about an hour.

CHOCOLATE SYRUP

No banana split is complete without hot fudge.

But I definitely take a short cut for this.

How about dairy-free chocolate syrup?

Here’s our favorite store-bought chocolate syrup

And here’s a homemade chocolate syrup if you have some extra time.

CHERRY ON TOP

Over the years, I’ve definitely been asked about maraschino cherries and milk allergy.

The good news?

We’ve used many brands, with no problems.

Of course, always check labels for yourself.

A banana split is delicious topped with a bright red cherry. YUM!

DAIRY-FREE WHIPPED CREAM

If you’re better than me and want to finish things off with some whipped cream…

we got you covered there, too!

Check labels on these, of course, to make sure the products will work for you.

Originally, we used to make our own homemade coconut whipped cream

Then life got a little easier when this coconut whipped cream in a tub came out.

But now, we are soaking up the delight of spray whip in both almond and coconut.

Any of these would be amazing on your milk-free banana split if they work for your allergies.

If you make a dairy-free banana split,
