Wonton Pizza Cup Appetizers Dairy-Free

If your family can have egg, you will love these easy wonton treats!

Pizza wonton cups are super easy to make, and kids love them. 

Here’s how we make them dairy-free!

Wonton Pizza Cups Dairy Free

For years we’ve been making these wonton cups, and it’s a kid favorite!

The wontons we buy are dairy-free, but be sure to check labels and ingredients for yourself. 

The ones we get in the cold section of the store’s produce area do contain egg…

which always makes me a little hesitant to post recipes like this. 

Rarely do our recipes contain egg.

I always try to give an egg-free version or option. 

If you do a quick online search, there are recipes for dairy and egg free wontons so I’m hopeful that can help for anyone really wanting to try these with egg allergy. 

They look easy!

I certainly remember the days of having two kids with egg allergy. 

If I knew how much my kids would end up loving this recipe, I would have made the wrappers from scratch!

Both boys outgrew egg allergy as preschoolers, we are grateful. And I hope that encourages you.

I promise, if you have to make the wrappers yourself, that will be the only “hard” part. 

Putting these pizza cups together is EASY!

Oh, if you want to make your own pizza sauce, that’s just as easy. Dump and mix 4 ingredients. 

Pizza Sauce Recipe

For those who can use store-bought wonton wrappers with egg, 

here’s how we make pizza wonton cups. 

 

DAIRY-FREE PIZZA WONTON CUPS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 

Lay one wonton wrapper each in muffin tin wells. 

Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce in the bottom of each wrapper. 

Layer a couple of pepperoni over the sauce. 

Next sprinkle a little dairy-free shredded mozzarella over the pepperoni. 

Repeat the sauce, pepperoni, cheese layers one more time. 

Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the last layer of cheese. (optional)

Bake the wonton cups in the oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly. 

Remove and let cool for 5 minutes before eating.

They come out very hot so don’t burn your mouth.
