Hey allergy friend,
So glad you’re stopping in for more information about desensitizing food allergies…
also known as oralimmunotherapy or OIT.
We’d love to help!
We are blessed to be desensitizing my son’s anaphylactic milk allergy over the past few years.
And thankfully, it’s going better than I ever expected!
Unlike many food allergy leaders before us, we decided NOT do this treatment in secret.
No, in fact, we share our entire OIT diary inside Milk Allergy Mom Membership.
Plus, we give occasional updates on our FB page and on Instagram.
Because we appreciate all the families who’ve followed and supported us over the past decade.
Our mission is always to inspire you, and kicking allergies to the curb is the ultimate dream, right?
We know many of you have never even heard of desensitizing food allergies before.
Or some of you, like me, have heard of it but aren’t certain if it would ever work for your kiddo.
Let me encourage you, we’ve used an epi-pen for milk reaction before (before OIT).
We had contact reactions to milk before.
My son almost died from his first exposure to milk at 8 months.
he’s met his goals of eating REAL cheese pizza and milk ice cream!
If we can do it, many of you can, too.
It will just take an excellent, experienced board certified allergist,
some inspiration from allergy families going before you,
and some courage, determination, patience, diligence,
and a body able to tolerate very slow introduction only under doctor supervision.
We are incredibly blessed to have our OIT allergist immunologist partnering with us here at Milk Allergy Mom…
passing along cutting edge information that can help you take this big step.
In fact, many families in our membership have started (and even graduated!) OIT…
because of the encouragement and information Dr. Siri shares with us.
While we have several OIT videos inside our membership,
here is a public video we recorded with Dr. Siri recently.
She turns the tables, and ends up interviewing ME about our OIT experience.
I’m so glad she did!
Hopefully you are encouraged and inspired.
If you’re a milk OIT patient yourself or have any questions, we’d love to hear from you in the comments.
Milk OIT is only growing and we trust starting the conversation will help families coming behind us.
Learn more about Dr. Siri here, and watch our video below!
I think you will learn something new today.
