Hey Star Student,

Let’s get right to it, shall we?

TODAY’S FOCUS: Action Plans

Actions plans are the most important part of your binder. This is where you have medical instructions directly from your doctor, specific to the patient. And there are a few fantastic fill-in-the-blank forms below if your doctor doesn’t have their own to give you.

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT:

  • Dig up old action plans lying around your house. Check how old they are.
  • Print new action plan sheets below if you don’t have any or have plans more than a year old.
  • If you need new or updated action plans, contact your doctor’s office to ask how and when to get them updated.

Quick story. I was so focused on my son’s food allergy action plan that I neglected to realize my other son needed an action plan for his asthma! Thankfully, our doctor gave us one recently, and I want to make sure you cover all your bases, too.

Eczema Action Plan from AAAAI

You can tuck your action plans into your binder if you have it or put them in a homework pile for now. We’ll talk about where to best store them at the end of the week.

PARTICIPANT QUESTION: “What if I have more than one child with allergic conditions? Do I make one binder with sections for the each child or make separate binders?”

This is an awesome question. I would consider this Allergy Binder Challenge a chance to create your MASTER binder for home. Once you have this done, it will be so easy to create simple folders for each child. And those can be replicated for teachers and so on. Hope this helps!

PARTICIPANT COMMENT: “My husband gives the binder a thumbs up.”

That’s so awesome! We are hearing many spouses are glad to have this tool when it’s done so they can better help you. What’s not to love?!

Keep going, friend. We can do this. It will be worth it!

Any questions? Just comment below. I’m committed to helping you finish this.

Cheering for you,

Jamie
