Oh my goodness, we’re over halfway done!

I’m very proud of all your hard work, and you should be, too.

So let’s keep going!

TODAY’S FOCUS: Safe Foods

Yesterday we spent some time working on our unsafe foods and hidden ingredients lists. Thankfully those were easy print-off sheets.

But today, we are going the other direction with a Safe Foods List.

I created my own little sheet for this and am sharing it with you today.

And even though I think it will take a little more time, it’s fun to fill out YES foods!

I bet you have more than you think you do.

IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS SHEET

  • It has a place for the child’s name at the top so feel free to make separate sheets for separate kiddos.
  • You can print as many copies as you need, feel free to print multiple sheets for one person if their YES list is long.
  • Be sure to identify at the top of the sheet the allergens you’re avoiding.
  • Let the caregiver know if calling manufacturers is important by circling yes or no.

Another thing to note is that I didn’t put categories on this. That’s because there are a few good options, and you can organize it best for you.

Here are some categories you may want to use.

  • STORES: Walmart, Aldi, Health Food Store, etc.
  • KITCHEN: Pantry, Refrigerator, Freezer, etc.
  • TYPES OF FOOD: Mainstream Foods, Specialty Foods, Real Food, etc.

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT: Print & Fill Out Your Safe Foods List

SAFE FOODS SHEET

1. Decide by which categories you are going to sort your foods. Perhaps make the categories stand out with colored pen or marker or highlighter.

2. Start looking through your pantry, refrigerator, and freezer to get your list going.

3. Think on other go-to foods you didn’t see in your kitchen inventory and include those.

PARTICIPANT COMMENT: “I’m blown away by how much I’ve learned this week.”

Yay, that’s so awesome to hear!!!

Any questions, just leave a comment. I’m happy to help.

It’s an honor to help you this week. Thanks for letting me.

Cheering for you,

Jamie
