Brown Sugar Cold Brew Latte
Get yourself a 16 ounce glass jar with a tight lid, and let's make a homemade shaken brown sugar cold brew with your favorite dairy-free milk!
It can be oat milk like Starbucks but any dairy or non-dairy milk will do.
I love making mine with coconut milk.
And honestly, I thought shaken coffees were overrated until I tried it at home. Let's just say, the foam it creates is actually amazing.
It's like having a fancy frothing gadget, but just shaken!
Hubby and I have been drinking these almost daily because they are just so affordable and easy to make.
See the recipe below.

COLD BREW CONCENTRATE
Gone are the days of espresso lattes at my house.
Bye-bye bulky machine taking up space on my counter.
And hello to brewing my own smooth coffee cold brew concentrate in a simple pitcher or mason jar.
But if you don't want to bother with making your cold brew to then make lattes,
feel free to grab some store-bought cold brew concentrate.
Just make sure it's actual concentrate that needs diluted 1:1 with coffee or milk.
Because we are adding dairy-free milk to this baby, it's a latte after all.
BROWN SUGAR COLD BREW LATTE RECIPE
Makes 12 Ounces
NOTES
Make homemade cold brew coffee concentrate ahead of time. I make it in bulk to last a week.
Or purchase a bottle of cold brew coffee concentrate (affiliate) to have on hand. Make sure it's strong concentrate that needs diluted 1:1 with water or milk (dairy-free milk in our case).
Also, here is my favorite dairy-free coconut milk for lattes.
And here's my teen son's favorite dairy-free oat milk that would work, too.
For the brown sugar, use as much as you'd like. I prefer 2 teaspoons for less sweet.
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon hot water
2-3 teaspoons of brown sugar (or less or more)
dash of ground cinnamon
handful of ice cubes, about 8
4 ounces of coffee cold brew concentrate
4 ounces of dairy-free milk
DIRECTIONS
Grab a 16 ounce glass jar, make sure you have a tight lid for it.
Pour tablespoon of water in the bottom of the glass or jar.
Heat the water in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Place 2-3 teaspoons of brown sugar in the hot water and stir until dissolved.
Add a dash of ground cinnamon, optional.
Pour in the cold brew coffee concentrate.
Add about 8 ice cubes.
TIGHTLY screw the lid on the jar and shake about 15-20 times until well mixed and frothy.
Take the lid off and pour your favorite dairy-free milk over the cold brew coffee.
Watch the pretty colors swirl together and try not to drool!
You can then stir the drink together or enjoy it as a multi-colored mix of coffee and dairy-free milk.
Cheers to you!
Hope you enjoy this shaken dairy-free brown sugar cold brew latte as much as I do!
