Obviously, there are both similarities and differences between e-cloth and Norwex.
I tried both in the polishing cloths and kitchen towels and both worked equally well.
So for me, the deciding factor came down to cost.
While I can appreciate the education that comes from home party formats,
I just didn't want to pay into that extra layer when I can do my own research.

Is it necessary to launder these cloths in a special way to keep them working their best since they are so dense??
Hi Hannah! The cloths come with instructions for cleaning. There is definitely some good tips. I'm going to update an old post on that. Typically, launder on hot. Dry on high heat. Minimal soap. Not with linty items. Don't wash with towels and fleece..but with sheets, t-shirts. Hope that helps! I wash all mine once a week.
Are there any products that are similar to Ecloth or Norwex that are made in the US?

Thank you! I have learned so much from this article and all the comments. But I am confused about how to clean the toilet bowl with e cloth. Do you put on gloves and just use a cloth? And do you use any cleaner with this? I am uncomfortable with all the toxic cleaners on the market but am not convinced that there is a safe alternative. A few months ago I did buy the Norwex toilet bowl brush but I haven't used it because I later realized that they recommend their expensive cleaner to go with it. Looking for a more economical solution.
Hi Kathleen! I'm a mom of boys so I get the toilet issues! I like to use Thieves cleaner from Young Living INSIDE my toilet with a toilet brush. Then I use e-cloth on the outside of the toilet, often with Thieves Cleaner, as well. Hope that helps!
Kathleen, you can use the norwex toilet brush by itself to clean but are able to use any cleaner you'd like, it doesn't have to be from norwex. I haven't tried their bathroom cleaner myself yet but I hope to in the near future as I hear great things about it. I did just order Thieves cleaner from a friend & excited to try that vs the Mrs. Myers all purpose spray.

I just wanted to clarify about what people have been saying about the silver killing bacteria, etc. It doesn’t, but the microsilver (not nanosilver)/baclock technology in Norwex’s envirocloths create a hostile environment for bacteria (odor, mold etc), to grow in. So that’s why you hang it to dry. As the cloths dry, the bacteria cannot grow in them, so they die, since the average lifespan of bacterium is 12 hours.
And boiling the cloths themselves is actually not recommended anymore. You should instead put your cloths in a sink (or large stick pot, tub, etc.), put a scoop of laundry detergent in (if you have Norwex, use that), then pour boiling water over the cloths. Agitate, and let sit for a minimum of 30 minutes or until the water cools. You’ll See all this sludge come out as the fibers open up and release everything. You may have to repeat this a few times, until the water is clear. Then launder as usual, hot is best, and dry with high heat. Doing this will make your cloths stink less and work way better again. I’m sure this would work for e-cloths & other microfiber cloths as well.
