BEST DAIRY-FREE CREAM CHEESE FOR MAKING FROSTING
Valid, dairy-free cream cheese can be a little jarring on the pallet, especially for those who have eaten regular cream cheese.
My son, who has milk allergy, has never had dairy cream cheese.
But my hubby eats cream cheese with milk in it, regularly on his bagels.
So finding a milk-free cream cheese brand that we can all agree on could potentially be difficult.
I’m happy to report, though, that we have a tried-and-true vegan cream cheese our whole family enjoys…especially in recipes where we doctor it up.
Tofutti cream cheese is our favorite! It’s been around since our diagnosis in 2005. It’s never disappeared like other brands. And it’s easy to find. Woohoo!
Tofutti is soy-based and thankfully doesn’t contain cashew like other dairy-free cream cheese brands…because my son is also allergic to nuts.
Not only is a good cream cheese important for making tasty cream cheese frosting, but so are a couple other simple ingredients you shouldn’t leave out.
