Cinnamon Sugar Tortilla Chips Dairy-Free

Cinnamon Tortilla Chips Dairy Free

When we need a quick snack or something tasty to go with Mexican dinner night,

you will often find a plate of cinnamon sugar tortillas on our table.

The perfect combination of crunchy yet chewy.

And totally addicting, make a lot!

These are also so easy that even the kiddos can make them,

especially when we use the toaster oven (affiliate).

If you want an even quicker and easier version, just pop them in the microwave.

They don't come out crunchy but are still tasty.

We buy our tortillas at Aldi. Check labels for yourself, ingredients can change or not work for you.

To make these even easier,

I have cinnamon and sugar already mixed up in bulk.

It's too easy to make yourself!

HOW TO MAKE CINNAMON SUGAR

Stir together ¼ cup sugar + 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Store in an air-tight container or spice jar.

Now here's how to use cinnamon sugar to make sweet tortilla chips!

DAIRY-FREE BAKED CINNAMON TORTILLAS

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  • Count out one tortilla per person
  • Place each tortilla on a cutting board and cover one side with dairy-free butter.
  • Sprinkle each buttered side liberally the a cinnamon sugar mixture (recipe above)
  • Cut each cinnamon sugar tortilla into 6 triangles with a pizza cutter or chef knife
  • Place the tortillas on a large baking sheet
  • Bake 10-12 minutes, until they start to golden and aren't flimsy. Don't over bake.

These homemade cinnamon tortilla chips can be eaten warm right out of the oven.

Or let them cool completely and store in an airtight container.

These can be served with dairy-free vanilla ice cream, too.

Hope you love these cinnamon tortillas as much as we do!

  1. Mmmm, yes! VERY YUMMY indeed! Also, a little thought on the foil issue. I always use foil when using a cookie sheet or baking pan, just because it is easier to clean up. I like to buy the pre-cut foil, much like what is used for highlights or something. It is just easy, and really not more expensive. They work really well for grilling too, like potatoes and corn. The foil is a little thicker than what comes on the roll.
