Oh boy! Dairy-free meat sticks, come to mama!
Where you been all my life?!
Ok, all my food allergy life.
My growing boys have needed a quick, convenient protein like this for years.
But my allergist DID warn us about jerky, hot dogs, sausage, and the like years ago. And I never forgot that.
Hidden ingredients in fillers was the concern, but that was before better labeling laws.
Sports, road trips, school…pre-teen boys…
In desperation for some easy protein…
I started paying attention to our allergy community and discussions about meat sticks.
And I can’t remember how I landed on these by Vermont,
but we finally gave them a shot and they worked!
Disclaimer, my kiddo is currently desensitizing his milk allergy.
Proceed at your own risk.
In other words, read labels and call the company if need be.
However, we have many milk allergy friends who also use this brand right now.
To be safer, we stick with the one original flavor.
Taking these on the road is now soooooo handy, and the kids enjoy them with crackers and/or dairy-free cheese sticks.
Vermont Beef Pork sticks can be found at some of my local grocery stores,
but I much prefer buying them in bulk on Amazon. (affiliate link)
Not gonna lie, I love throwing these in my purse for myself, too.
Here are the ingredients from our box.
Let us know if you eat these Vermont Sticks, too!
They would be great for your emergency kit.
