Tomato Basil Dip Dairy-Free

One summer we were introduced to basil and tomato dip at a family pool party.

And I couldn’t wait to come home and make a dairy-free version that my kids could enjoy.

The dip recipe is easy, allergy-friendly, and listed below.

Then we needed to find dairy-free chips and bread options for dipping.

Here’s what we came up with!

tomato basil dip on chips

This is such a fun and light summer treat to make when garden basil and tomato are plenty.

And it’s very easy to make milk-free and allergy-friendly.

Even my pickiest kiddo asks for this snack each summer now when he sees our basil growing.

You got it, buddy!

Mom is happy to make this healthy snack, lovingly called tomato dip by my kids.

DAIRY-FREE CHIPS

When we first made dairy-free bruschetta,

I knew it would be hard to find a dairy-free baguette from the store not contaminated with or containing our allergens, milk and nut.

So we opted for the next best thing, serving our tomato dip on crunchy pita chips.

PLEASE NOTE: Here at Milk Allergy Mom, we simply share products that work for our family. Please consult your own doctor before trying food, supplements, or other products. Also read all labels and call companies for the latest, most accurate product information.

Then later, we found bagel chips we could safely have.

Always double-check labels for yourself, of course.

Both pita and bagel chips work well for this tomato basil dip because they are thick and crunchy.

FRENCH BREAD BRUSCHETTA

Now thanks to 2020, we have a French bread recipe that works great with this tomato and basil dip…

if you’re in the mood for more classic bruschetta.

Our French bread recipe is dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free.

And it’s so easy, done in an hour.

FRENCH BREAD RECIPE

To make bruschetta:

  • make French bread
  • slice bread into 1″ thick slices
  • brush olive oil on both sides of the slices
  • toast the slices in the oven on a cookie sheet for 10 minutes, flip halfway through
  • serve with the tomato basil mixture on top

Now here’s the easy recipe for our dairy-free tomato basil dip.

You’re gonna love it and so will your kids!
