Beanies & Weenies Dairy-Free

bowl of beanies and weenies

Hold on to your hats, folks.

I’m about to reveal to you one of our big vacation secrets.

Milk-free beanies and weenies!

When we are out of town,

this is one of the easiest meals to make for our kids.

With a microwave and hand-held can opener (affiliate),

our own bowls and utensils,

and a microwave cover…

we can have this dish made in minutes for our weary travelers.

Not to mention, for some crazy reason, this is my kids’ favorite quick dish year after year.

From toddlers to tweens.

They make my life so easy (sometimes).

Beanies and weenies.

Two simple convenience foods mixed together and heated through.

That’s it!

For us, the trick is just knowing what brands are dairy-free.

Check all labels. Ingredients can change at any time.

If you have the ability to add in cooked ground burger,

that makes this dish even more hearty.

We do this on busy nights at home.

This is good with Jiffy cornbread made with dairy-free milk and flax egg.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Here at Milk Allergy Mom, we simply share products that work for our family. Please consult your own doctor before trying food, supplements, or other products. Also read all labels and call companies for the latest, most accurate product information.

1 package dairy-free hot dogs (Hebrew National or Applegate)

1 large can Bush’s Baked Beans Original

1/2 pound cooked burger (optional)

Dice hot dogs and brown in a large pot.

Add can of beans.

Add cooked burger if using.

Heat through and serve!

Hope your kids love beanies and weenies as much as mine do!
