Who's ready to set up their new Erin Condren Life Planner?!

What do you do first when you get yours?

I know getting started in that fresh new planner can be a little daunting.

But trust me, these babies weren't created to just look pretty and collect dust!

Let's break that sucker out, and make it yours.

There are a few easy things I do to get my new planner started each year.

Maybe I can help get your wheels turning.

First, I add birthdays to the monthly spreads.

Then I keep birthdays in one easy place on a perpetual planner calendar sheet stored in my back planner pocket. 

This free printable from the Simplified Planner is what I use.

Printed at 80%, it fits right into the EC pockets when trimmed to size. 

You could also use the free perpetual planner that comes with your planner. 

That's probably easier.

But I always like a fun crafty challenge, lol.

Second, I always get my name in my new planner.

What if I loose it, and nobody knows who's it is?!

Gasp!

I have mom brain, that's highly likely, you know.

So it must be marked, just like Andy's Woody Toy.

Disney reference, get it?

Ok...

So sometimes I hand write my name. 

But this time I used fun, letter stickers. 

We hear from so many of you who don't like your handwriting.

You shouldn't let that hold you up...

but stickers are a great option if that's really holding you back.

Either way, this doesn’t have to be perfect.

Just get your name in your planner girl, it's all yours! 

Third, I love using colorful EC circle stickers on the year at a glance pages.

You can purchase them from Amazon (affiliate) or Erin Condren the next time you put in an order.

These are fab for keeping track of important school dates, like I do. 

Others tell me they mark paydays and important work events.

And hey, there's always the tried-and-true system of marking your girly cycle. (TMI?)
