What kid doesn't like snacks?

And at Disney World, my kiddo can enjoy all kinds even with food allergies!

Snacks with no dairy and no tree nuts.

See some of our favorite allergy-friendly Disney treats below!

Even at Disney with chefs and staff trained in food allergies, those with severe allergies must still utilize due diligence. Always talk to staff, inquire about ingredients, double-check the food, use your best judgement, and take any other precautions necessary to make sure you stay safe while eating out.

Disney planners who specialize in food allergies can help guide us to the best places to grab snacks with less cross contamination risk. This always changes so we can't assume the places we stopped at are the best bets.

1. MINUTE MAID FROZEN TREATS

On our first Disney trip in 2016, my son had not gone through any food allergy therapy yet.

So we were mostly looking for prepackaged snacks with labels.

These Minute Maid frozen treats could be found at several carts in the parks.

Kiddo enjoyed both lemonade and orangeade flavors.

And they were nice and refreshing in the Orlando heat.

2. MICKEY PRETZELS

Kiddo also enjoyed the big, soft, iconic Mickey pretzels on our first trip to Disney...

plus all our visits since then (four total).

On that first trip, when we had to be super careful about cross contamination, our Disney planner told us the best place to get pretzels for food allergy families.

It was in an actual quick service where a chef could prepare and serve it with minimal concerns.

With tree nut allergies, we had to be careful about kiosks with both nuts and pretzels.

It would be worth researching where to find safe pretzels at Disney these days.

3. DOLE WHIP

Pineapple Dole Whip is such a special dairy-free snack at Disney.

Soft serve ice cream with no dairy is just so hard to find normally.

It's base is pineapple and even though my kiddo and I have some oral allergy symptoms (OAS) with fresh pineapple...

the Dole Whip works for us!

In and of itself, it's very allergy-friendly.

We just needed an allergy-aware travel agent to point us to the safest place at Disney to find this treat.

Sometimes it's served in the same kiosk with vanilla dairy ice cream and sometimes even out of the same machine.

With a severe dairy allergy, that's something to be mindful of so I always check the current situation.

Here, kiddo was able to find a Dole Whip only stand at Magic Kingdom.

Not only did he get to enjoy the dairy-free pineapple flavor, but it was also swirled with another flavor. I think raspberry!

4. DOLE WHIP SUNDAE

Over at Animal Kingdom, we found a new twist on Dole Whip.

The dairy-free pineapple soft serve was served with a few syrups for a fun sundae!

It's called Simba, how cute is that?

Watermelon, strawberry, and coconut flavored syrups.

As always, double check the ingredient binder and see what else they are serving at every snack station to make sure snacks are safe for your allergies.

Talk to staff if you have questions or concerns.

But kiddo loved this sundae!

5. DOLE WHIP FLOAT

In 2024, we discovered another fun twist with pineapple Dole Whip.

It comes in floats, too!

Our favorite is Dole Whip with fruity soda, like orange or strawberry.

But we also enjoyed a pineapple Dole Whip float with pineapple juice at Epcot.

Here, kiddo had a swirl Dole Whip with strawberry soda at Sunshine Tree Terrace.

Just note, this stand also has vanilla dairy ice cream so take precautions for milk allergy.

6. BLUE & GREEN MILK

Over at Hollywood Studios, my kids tried the blue milk and green milk.

These are at the Milk Stand in Galaxy's Edge.

Both are plant-based, made with coconut and rice milk.

Blue milk touts fruity flavors while green milk includes citrus and tropical flavors.

Both kids liked the blue milk best.

They look so tired, this was late at night!

7. DAIRY-FREE MILKSHAKES

Speaking of dairy free milk...

On our first trip to Disney in 2016, we stuck with mostly snacks at table service restaurants.

The chefs are so well trained in food allergy!

And one of kiddo's favorite sit-down dining snacks has been a dairy-free chocolate milkshake.

When a Disney restaurant has dairy-free ice cream, they can usually make these for us.

In our experience, they have been made with soy ice cream.

Kiddo has ordered his favorite soy chocolate milkshakes at both Sci Fi Theater in Hollywood Studios and The Plaza in Magic Kingdom.

Always alert servers and chefs to your allergies so they can make safe snacks for you.

8. BAKED SNACKS

We've visited enough Disney resorts now to know that oftentimes they carry plant-based options.

At Animal Kingdom resort we found a fun 4-pack of mini cupcakes.

And at Art of Animation kiddo was able to enjoy this mind-blowing shamrock cupcake!

They had a special sign featuring this, touting it as dairy, egg, and honey free.

If you stay at a Disney resort or have time to stop in any, definitely see if they have special allergy-friendly snacks.

Of course, consult binders and managers, too.

This one seemed too good to be true, but kiddo loved it!

9. ICE CREAM COOKIE SANDWICH

At another resort, Port Orleans Riverside, the quick service chef made my kiddo an epic snack!

She put three heaping scoops of dairy-free ice cream between two ginormous allergy-friendly chocolate chip cookies.

WILD!

This dessert sandwich was bigger than our adult hands.

And kiddo couldn't finish it.

I think they again used soy ice cream.

The cookies were pre-packaged made by Dave's: gluten, dairy, and nut-free.

It's important to me to ask chefs the brands they are using and to check labels for myself.

Many times they are working with pre-packaged allergy-friendly brands to make their fun creations like this.

10. DAIRY-FREE BEIGNETS

Finally, this Disney resort snack is super popular, and we could special order it dairy-free!

The hot and fresh beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter resort.

They even made kiddo two flavors: regular and pumpkin!

We talked to the chef to make sure these would safe for our son.

Delicious!

And that wraps up our top favorite dairy-free snacks at Disney for now!

As you can see, dairy-free and nut-free snacks can be found in the parks and in the resorts, at quick service and at table service, and at snack stands!

I hate to say we plan Disney trips around accessing safe snacks, but we do. HA!

Remember, to always use allergy-safe diligence when trying snacks prepared for you by someone else.
