Meat sticks and cheese sticks are one of my own favorite snack lunch foods.

So when I could finally make the same kind of lunch for my son with milk allergy…

it was game on.

This is the lunch of champions…I’m pretty sure.

Meat and cheese sticks are fun to cut up and include on our snack boards at home.

But it’s also so convenient to pack this handy combination for school lunch, too.

I’m sure you’re wondering about brands so let’s get to it.

MEAT & CHEESE BENTO BOX

Here’s what we packed in our dairy-free bento box.

Make sure all these items are safe for your food allergies. Always check labels. Call companies if need be. Be safe!

  • meat stick
  • cheese stick (dairy-free)
  • crackers
  • carrot sticks
  • honeydew chunks
  • marshmallows & chocolate chips

Be sure to check labels on these brands to see if they work for you.

Here’s the dairy-free cheese sticks we use.

We used crackers from Aldi

Then here are yummy, dairy-free white chocolate chips.

And the chips are so tasty when paired with these specialty marshmallows.

Shown here were maple flavored marshmallows, absolutely addicting!

Lastly, here are the meat sticks (affiliate). Free of the top 9 allergens, but processed in a plant with milk, soy, and sesame with strict allergen control processes…per the chomps website. Get 15% off any order with coupon code: MILKALLERGYMOM

MEAT STICKS

The Chomps meat sticks come in several flavors.

  • original beef
  • sea salt beef
  • Italian style beef
  • original turkey
  • pepperoni seasoned turkey
  • sea salt
  • and more

Plus, you can buy them full size or mini (chomplings).

One mini may be enough for younger kids.

Or two minis are a great way to minimize waste if your kiddo decides not to eat two at lunch.

A mini original flavor stick contains 4 grams of protein while the regular size contains 8 grams.

The brand is also gluten-free and GMO-free.

It’s great that these are shelf-stable for outings…

because we all know food allergy families can’t easily stop for fast food.

However, a lunch with cheese stick plus fresh fruits and veggies would need refrigerated or cold packs until eaten.

You knew that.
