Chocolate Milk Shake Dairy-Free
No problem! We've found the perfect ingredients for dairy-free chocolate milkshakes.
Ice cream, chocolate syrup, cherries, and even whipped cream! See below.

Ever find yourself in the mood for a chocolate milk shake just out of the blue?
My husband is notorious for this craving.
It's common for him to ask if we have ingredients to make milkshakes.
Happens about once a month.
And in this milk allergy house, you might think that's a big no.
But alas, we DO make milkshakes at our house.
Dairy-free and still delicious.
And I'm not talking just any old chocolate milk shake.
I'm talking the whipped cream & cherries on top kind of milk shakes.
The full nine yards.
To make these, I grab dairy-free vanilla ice cream at the store along with a jar of cherries.
Or we also love making milkshakes when I have homemade ice cream on hand.
I simply put dairy-free vanilla ice cream into the blender and add dairy-free chocolate syrup.
We even have dairy-free whipped cream options for our milkshake creations!
My family always looks forward to our milkshake creations.
And hearing the sounds of slurping straws as they savor every last drop puts a smile on my face.
Milk allergy won't hold us back!
VANILLA ICE CREAM DAIRY FREE
As you may know, it takes a lot of ice cream to make milkshakes.
And as you may also know, dairy-free ice cream can be quite expensive.
So there are two ways we make sure our homemade chocolate milkshakes don't break the bank.
One, sometimes we just make kiddo's dairy-free and the rest of the family uses dairy ice cream. Of course, you have to be super careful about cross contamination. We hand mix in this case, as our blender is dedicated for only dairy-free ingredients.
When we make both dairy and dairy-free milkshakes, kiddo likes me to use coconut ice cream.
Two, when we all enjoy dairy-free milkshakes together, I buy a large tub of dairy-free soy ice cream to use. Soy ice cream doesn't cost so much, and it can be found in larger quantities. Once we add the chocolate syrup, hardly anyone notices. And hey, that's how they make them at Disney!
