Looking for a lunch meat for your milk allergy family?
This one is our fave!
PLEASE NOTE: Here at Milk Allergy Mom, we simply share products that work for our family. Please consult your own doctor before trying food, supplements, or other products. Also read all labels and call companies for the latest, most accurate product information.
Hormel Natural Choice is the only lunch meat we have eaten for years.
It has no nitrites, nitrates, or MSG.
And my kids love it!
These are our favorite Hormel Natural Choice lunch meats.
- Honey Ham (see ingredients below)
- Smoked Ham
- Cooked Deli Ham
- Salami
We use Hormel lunch meats on sandwiches…
but also on homemade pizza, in DIY lunchables, and in tortilla roll-up’s.
One of my kiddos especially loves ham and salami on sweet rolls.
The best, however, is that I can get a family size container at Walmart and don’t even have to step out of my car with their grocery pick-up.
If you use another brand of lunch meat, we’d love to hear in the comments.
Remember, always check ingredients for yourself. They can change.

Hi there, this brand contains celery juice powder (which is a nitrate) + Lactic acid starter culture (also nitrates). Sadly just different propaganda. http://deceptivefood.com/hormel-natural-choice-deli-meat-and-hidden-nitrates/

Hi Jamie, Thank you so much for all the info that you are sharing. Couple of weeks ago I found out that I am allergic to milk, yes me at 36 years old. All my life I was drinking milk and eating dairy products safely. Your web site has been helping me so much. It is very hard for me to read labels, however, I think I found a Brownie Mix that is safe, but I am not 100% sure, maybe you can help me. The brownie mix is Ghirardelli Double Chocolate. The walnut one looked safe at the beginning but then I read that contains "xanthan gum" and I tried to research and I think that is not safe, but I am note sure.Thank you so much Jamie, and I thank Jesus I found your web site.Vera

This is our favorite lunch meat. We've been eating it since it came out and go through 3-4 a week because my girls take several slices in their lunches everyday. Their favorite is honey ham. I love it when there are coupons! Thanks for sharing! Jennifer H
