once you add oats, it's fair game to eat cookies for breakfast.
There's no shame in my game, friend.
Sign me up for pre-made breakfast for the week.
Sure, I'll add some fruit and sausage links to round it out if that's better.
BAM!
This recipe is also great for when you're low on flour.
I always stock up on quick oats during my shopping at Aldi for treats like this and no-bake cookies.
Now let's get to dairy-free and egg-free oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
See recipe below.
FAVORITE DAIRY-FREE BUTTER
With a lot of experimenting, I've discovered that the dairy-free butter you choose for chocolate chip cookies can make a big difference in how they turn out.
Every time I used a certain brand, my family raves about the texture.
The cookies turn out chewy and rich, less cakey.
And that's their fave.
What dairy-free butter? Country Crock Plant Based Buttery Sticks.
Of course, check ingredients and call the company for manufacturing info if your allergist requires it.
But that's our best. I now intentionally buy this brand specifically for making cookies.
Now here's the recipe!

I've tried this recipe several times and the cookies are flat and don't rise. I'm using flax eggs as we are allergic to eggs.
Any idea how to adjust it or what I'm doing wrong?
Hi Alicia, I have a few ideas! As the weather gets warmer, I think the oils and butters can get too soft. It would help to refrigerate and chill the dough before baking. Also, the kinds of butters and oils you use can make a difference. I never have a problem with Earth Balance. But once used Fleischmann's and this happened to me. I can make some notes for that. Thank you for sharing so we can help!
Hello! My name is Jonina. I'm 20 years old and live in Sweden. I have a boyfriend, whom I love so much, who happens to be allergic to milk protein. His mom has taken care of all the cooking all his life, and everything has been working great! BUT! I love to travel, and since his allergy has been so severe when he was younger, he hasn't been able to travel to other countries. I have been to USA before, but are now looking at the possibilities of him and me going there. So, I would just like some help I guess...is it hard finding products which does not contain milk protein? Are there any restaurants which are totally safe for people with milk protein allergy? I really hope you can answer these questions...it would make both of us much more confident about traveling to the states.
Kind regards!
