One of our sweet friends in Milk Allergy Mom Membership tipped us off to the immune boosting idea of orange drinks.
And I couldn't wait to give this a try!
Immediately addicted, we kept tweaking until it was the perfect cold smoothie for our family's taste.
Now this winter, I've literally craved this tasty, creamy drink every day.
Let's just say, I've bought a lot of oranges lately!
And that's not a bad thing.
The kids and I all agree, we'd now rather drink our oranges than eat them.
So let's get to the quick easy recipe!
You're gonna love it.
The great thing about this recipe is that we've made a few different variations and they are all delicious.
We like to add banana, but it tastes just as good without.
Also, I like to add a vanilla protein powder but vanilla flavored dairy-free yogurt will work just as well.
As for yogurt, I mostly like to make our smoothies without dairy-free yogurt.
But this smoothie just tastes so good with the yogurt. And it doesn't taste dairy-free.
If you really want to skip yogurt, use some dairy-free milk instead.
You'll want that little element of creaminess to make this taste like a dreamy creamsicle.
So good!
I'll note all these options in the recipe below for you.
Our one non-negotiable is plenty of ice. We like our smoothies cold!

NOTES
Make sure you use some kind of vanilla flavor, whether it's vanilla yogurt or vanilla protein powder or even a splash of vanilla extract. Vanilla makes this smoothie!
This smoothie won't be real thick, but it's still perfect as a thinner icy orange drink.
Here's our favorite dairy-free yogurt for this recipe.
Here's our favorite dairy-free protein powder.
