Whether your kids are tired of sandwiches, you're just plum out of bread for the day, or your kiddo can't have traditional bread sandwiches...
these pickle ham roll-up's could be the perfect solution for your kiddo's next lunch.
I keep pickles stocked at our house, either for these roll-up's or to put as a side in my kid's lunch.
Either the spears or the baby pickles work great for these roll-up's.
Most of the time, I buy pickles with the rest of my Aldi staples.
Of course, always check labels and make sure these work for your allergies.
See below for how to make a pickle ham roll-up...
and to learn what other dairy-free goodies we have packed in this fun bento lunch box.
Hope you're inspired!

Now onto the how-to!
HOW TO MAKE PICKLE HAM ROLL-UPS
Make sure your ingredients are dairy-free or safe for your food allergies. Check labels and call companies, if need be.
You can also add dairy-free sliced cheese to these roll-up's, along with mayo or cream cheese spread.
It's up to you how plain or fancy you want to make them. Ask your kiddo!
1. Dry a baby pickle or pickle spear off with a paper towel.
2. Lay out a slice or two of ham.
3. Lay a piece of dairy-free cheese on the ham (optional).
4. Spread mayo over the ham and cheese (optional).
5. Place a pickle on the ham at one end.
6. Roll up the pickle in the ham.
7. Place seam down in kiddo's bento lunch box.
NO TOOTHPICKS NEEDED
Please note, I don't opt for holding these together with a toothpick.
That's probably a safety hazard in school.
So I simply keep these together by squeezing them into our bento lunch, seam side down.
See picture and description of the rest of our bento lunch below.
