Chicken Spice Rub Seasoning Dairy-Free

Delicious roasted chicken is a dinner staple at our house.

The dairy-free rub recipe we use makes it taste like rotisserie chicken from the store but even better.

See our easy spice rub recipe below.

Use this chicken spice to rub into your chicken before cooking.

You can use this rub on chicken with or without skin.

And you can use it on chicken pieces or a whole chicken.

ROASTED CHICKEN LEFTOVERS

We use this chicken rub on whole chickens mostly.

That way, with our family of four, we’ll have enough chicken for a leftover meal the next day, too.

Here are some of our favorite leftover chicken meals.

Chicken Soup

Chicken Pot Pie

Chicken Pizza

Chicken & Dumplings

WHOLE CHICKENS ARE MORE COST EFFECTIVE

Whole chickens are cheaper than pre-cut chicken, even when I buy hormone-free.

For under $10, we get two meals plus several jars of chicken broth.

When I keep hearing that broth is gut-healing and good for food allergies,

that makes me want to keep up this routine for sure.

CHICKEN RUB MAKES A GREAT GIFT

Because we use this chicken rub so much,

we make it in bulk and have it on hand in our spice cabinet always.

This makes a great gift for dads and neighbors at Christmas, too!

If baking banana bread for loved ones ain’t your thing,

consider making a bulk batch of chicken rub in a small jar for your family and friends.

It looks especially nice when you layer the different color spices on top of each other.

Note on the gift tag to shake before using.

See the easy recipe below.

CHICKEN RUB RECIPE

To make the spice rub in bulk, simply use tablespoons instead of teaspoons.

2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Hope you love this homemade, dairy-free chicken spice rub as much as we do!

I do the same thing: make roast chicken and then make broth. I always feel so resourceful!

The other day I had a fresh lemon, and I told Keith, "This makes me think of the state fair." Now I know I'm not the only one who LOVES the lemon shake-ups!
