6 Dairy-Free Smores Ideas

6 Dairy-Free S'mores Ideas!

I remember thinking that milk allergies meant no chocolate, no smores, no fun.

Oh contrary!

My kids love making s’mores on the fire pit using these ingredients.

In fact, there are several ways we enjoy s’mores as a milk allergy family.

Let’s start with outdoor s’mores!

At the firepit in the backyard,

we usually gather up the following ingredients for real toasted marshmallow s’mores.

Dairy Free S'mores

PLEASE NOTE: Here at Milk Allergy Mom, we simply share products that work for our family. Please consult your own doctor before trying food, supplements, or other products. Also read all labels and call companies for the latest, most accurate product information.

1. TRADITIONAL FIRESIDE S’MORES

There’s just nothing better than a good old fashioned s’more made over the firepit.

Here are the ingredients we use for our fireside s’mores.

Just be sure to double-check labels as ingredients can change.

  • Honey Maid graham crackers
  • Aldi, Kraft, or Dandies marshmallows
  • Enjoy Life chocolate bars (affiliate link)

S’mores made with Enjoy Life chocolate taste completely normal and absolutely delicious.

Nobody will know they are allergy-friendly!

2. CHOCOLATE CHUNK S’MORES

If we’re feeding a crowd or want to make a LOT of smores,

we use a bag of Enjoy Life chocolate chunks (affiliate) instead of using the chocolate bars.

The dairy-free chocolate stretches further that way.

3. OREO COOKIE S’MORES

If you want the very easiest way to serve dairy-free smores to friends and family,

check out our recipe for s’moreos!

They’re always a hit.

TIP: KEEP ROASTING STICKS ALLERGY SAFE

As an allergy mom, I initially worried about contamination on the roasting sticks.

Maybe you do, too.

So our solution for years, which has worked wonderfully,

is that our son with food allergies has his own roasting stick.

We bought it new for him, marked it clearly, and we always know it’s safe for him.

Now here’s more dairy-free s’mores ideas that won’t require roasting stick or fire!

4. TOASTER OVEN S’MORES

If you don’t have a fire pit or if it’s too cold to be outside making s’mores,

we are not beyond firing up the ole’ toaster oven to get our fix.

Indoor s’mores to the rescue!

Look at how beautiful toaster oven marshmallows turn out.

So close to the real thing.

5. CHOCOLATE FROSTING S’MORES

Even though we put these at number five, there were our very first dairy-free s’mores for our kids.

Just use your safe graham crackers with dairy-free chocolate frosting and either marshmallow fluff (contains egg) or mini marshmallows!

Of course check ingredient labels.

This is one of my kids’ favorite snacks to make.

And it’s even included in our recipe sheet for kids, a free gift when you sign up for our recipe emails

6. CEREAL PAN S’MORES

And if you need a lot of s’mores for an indoor event or party,

be sure to see our very popular dairy-free indoor pan s’mores.

They always get rave reviews, and our friends and family request them every New Year’s Eve.

Absolutely nobody will think they are dairy-free.

Completely addicting, I dare you to stop at just one.

Hope these dairy-free s’mores ideas have you ready for a chocolate fix.
