Vegan Ravioli at Aldi

My kiddo with milk allergy went sixteen years without trying ravioli.

But the streak has ended, and we have a new favorite food find!

Store bought, vegan, dairy-free ravioli ready in just five minutes?!

Yes, please! We have a new quick dinner, and it is awesome!

See our label below.

That’s right.

As I perused the aisles of Aldi the other day,

their plant-based packaging caught my eye once again.

Recently it was vegan frozen cakes.

Another time it was vegan ice cream.

This time…it was ravioli!

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing…

my kiddo has never had ravioli. Ever!

Milk allergy for so many years has made ravioli a challenge.

This mama just wasn’t dedicated enough to make our own at home.

I HAVE made dairy-free lasagna, so give me a little credit, ok?

But ravioli???

After scouring the package and the label, I decided it looked promising.

Grabbed a jar of organic marinara sauce, along with several of our other Aldi staples.

Note, I found similar size packages of ravioli made with dairy, and grabbed a couple of those for the rest of the family.

This was going to be one of those split meals with a dairy and a dairy-free version.

And off I went, excited to cook up our first ravioli dinner ever!

For our ravioli debut, I went with the spinach ravioli.

But we are going to have to try the other flavor soon, eggplant.

See ingredients on our package below.

I told hubby this was going to be our next busy night dinner.

After all, the package says the ravioli only takes FOUR minutes to boil.

Holy cow!

This was going to be the quickest dinner on the planet…and it was.

Like seriously, I wait in the McDonald’s drive through longer than that.

So it didn’t take many nights before we needed that quick easy dinner option,

and it was time to try the ravioli!

We boiled two pots of ravioli, the dairy and the dairy-free separated.

And while they were boiling, we microwaved dairy-free marinara sauce.

Hubby pulled out some veggies and dairy-free ranch

Dinner was served in 10 minutes, I kid you not!

Let’s just say, hubby was ready to run to Aldi to buy more ravioli for another night.

Plus, kiddo who never ever had ravioli before was a fan!

He thought the texture and whole stuffed noodle thing was really different.

And now we have a new favorite fast dinner…move over frozen chicken nuggets.

Below is the label on our vegan spinach ravioli from Aldi.

But always double check labels as ingredients can change.

And we didn’t call the company, so do that if you need to.

We can’t wait to try the eggplant ravioli next!

Hope you get to try this vegan ravioli!
