I am happy to meet you, but not because I am a mom of a child with milk allergy. But I am the child and I’m 69 years old. I have eosinophilic esophagitis. Even my spellcheck dictation couldn’t get that right. For years, doctors believed it was a children’s disease. So, my dairy allergy caused my disease to get so far advanced now there’s no cure for me. After a trip to the ER in 2015 I finally got a diagnosis. For the last seven years, I have been experimenting with cures. After some detective work, I’ve come to the conclusion that dairy is the food that’s causing this problem. I have been completely dairy-free since March, 2020 and the longer I’m off the better I feel. Food hardly ever gets stuck in my esophagus anymore. I would love to be involved but I don’t really want to pay monthly dues. However, I will check your website often. Thank you for sharing your recipes and ideas. It is nice to find someone else who shares this difficult lifestyle challenge. Sometimes I think I’m going to have a T-shirt printed up that says I am allergic to cheese! Diane Mahoney

I have been following for over a year and realized the other day we both shop at Food Fantasy in Springfield! I had no idea you were from Springfield! My daughter is allergic to milk and egg. She is 11. She has had food allergies her entire life. When she was 8 months old she was allergic to milk, egg , corn, soy, wheat, and peanut. She was on neonate for 2 years, then rice milk and they outgrew soy at age 4. We are now down to milk and egg and are hoping for good news with a blood test scheduled for September.

Hi There, I am interested in the 4-piece Floor Cleaning Set

you say it includes the following (1) Deep Clean Mop with Wet Pad (2) Extra Wet Pads (1) Dust Mop Head

First: What is meant by the Dust Mop Head? Is that another attachment to the telescopic handle, or is it a dry mop pad? Second: Are the Wet Pads the 'deep cleaning' kind?

Hi Jessa-Lynn! Our mop set has changed a bit. There are now 3 blue pads and a mop. They are for wet mopping really, but I still dry mop with them too, microfiber is awesome like that. ;) The white dust mop heads are no longer carried or part of the mop set. And yes, blue pads when wet are deep cleaning. :) I hope that answers your question! The set in our online store is the updated set as shown.

Hey! So I have followed your website for a while. I have a daughter (age 10) with a severe (anaphylactic 3 times) milk allergy as well as pork and beef. My question is, do I have to join Facebook to be a part of the group? I was on it years ago and had to get off with the bombardment of friends posts and keeping up was a challenge ! Anyway, just wondering if I needed to reopen my FB account and that was the only way. I see that you are trying OIT soon. We tried a few weeks ago, made it through the first day but it was too much with regard to the anxiety it caused and the restrictions placed (not being able to exercise) - Quick question, are your sons small for their age- height wise? I am curious and have read studies about not having ever consumed cows milk and the correlation with height. My daughter is short, and my husband and I both tall, I am always curious if it is the milk allergy at play. Thanks for all of your help and information.

Hi Liz! Thanks so much for the note. We are so happy to have helped you along the way. Our kids should meet someday! I really want a Disney meet-up in our group down the road. Wouldn't that be great?!

To answer your question, the group is 3-part. The binder building and private questions to me happen on our website under password protection. I also send weekly notes in email. And the bulk of our daily interaction happens on FB.

I understand your thoughts on FB. I feel the same way. I have my personal account pretty tight. Hopefully those who want to just activate FB for our group will find it worth it. Never would I want to suck someone into social media abyss they are trying to avoid.

WIthin the group, we have it entirely organized so that it will NOT become a time-sucking black hole. You will find it different than any other group you've been in before, I'm hopeful.

I will be looking to see if you join! Hope you do!

Oh, and my allergy son is in the 75th percentile on height and 25th percentile on weight. My non-allergy son is very short for his age, but it makes him a good gymnast. Silver linings, right? :)
