Cookies by Lorna Doone
Would you believe that 13 years ago,
these were one of the few things I could find for my son's Easter basket.
PLEASE NOTE: Here at Milk Allergy Mom, we simply share products that work for our family. Please consult your own doctor before trying food, supplements, or other products. Also read all labels and call companies for the latest, most accurate product information.
I will always remember Lorna Doone cookies as "Kiddo's First Easter".
I mean, honestly, they do make a nice little toddler snack.
But I was more excited that they were dairy-free for our newly discovered anaphylactic milk allergy.
And yes, kiddo ate these long before Oreos, lol.
If only I could remember to call them by their appropriate name,
and not Lorna Doodles.
I have the ingredients on our box below.
But always check labels for yourself as ingredients can change.
Because these can be found individually wrapped,
they make a great snack for school lunch, picnics, or running errands.
And we also have them stashed in our dairy-free emergency kit.
Mom and Dad need something with their coffee, even in the event of an emergency. 😉
If you are stocking your emergency kit like me, Lorna Doones are on Amazon. (affiliate)
Ship to my door, please!
My kids still enjoy these cookies, especially when they aren't feeling well.
I guess because shortbread is kind of bland...but still yum.
And please know, our allergist and track record do not require us to call companies for manufacturing information.
So if your allergist requires that for you, please call for information first.
We ate these when we were dairy-free, egg-free, and nut-free, and still do a decade later.

Lucy's Cookies (contain soy)
All these brands are amazing, and some were even created by fellow food allergy moms!

We'd love to hear.
