Using All The Stickers That Came In EC Planner

Hey planner friends, thanks for stopping in for more Erin Condren Life Planner inspiration.

I have something pretty unique for you today, and I hope you love it!

Here's the deal. I have a confession.

I am a STICKER HOARDER.

Yes, if you look through my past four years of Erin Condren planners...

you will sadly see that I never used all the stickers that came in the back of them.

No, I didn't even use half of them.

It's not that I didn't love them or want to use them.

It's just that I didn't take the time to work them into my planners.

Because as many of you know, I'm more of a functional planner kind of girl.

That's why I have a trusty sidekick planner friend, Mandy, to balance me with decorating fun in our EC Planner Group on Facebook.

SHE uses the stickers, ha ha ha!

So instead of giving all my stickers to Mandy, which would be a nice gesture and would be my next option...

I decided to try something a little different first.

And this is where the fun begins.

When my 2018 planner arrived, I got to work putting ALL the stickers into the planner before 2018 even started.

As expected, no regrets!

Working through my planner month by month and seeing all the stickers and labels in place makes me one happy planner girl.

And when I shared this little hack in our planner group, the girls went gaga wanting to know how I did it.

So I'm finally getting around to making this post and showing you the method to my madness.

If you have sticker-using problems like me, you may love this little trick, too.

MONTHLY SPREADS

I got the neutral vertical planner this year.

And I used all the labels and functional stickers from the back of the planner to set up my monthly spreads and note pages ahead of time.

I made the month spreads monochromatic as much as possible, based on the flag color printed on the spread.

Note, my monthly spreads are used for my business.

But this system can work for your personal planning, too!

Let's get to some photos and feel free to copy away.

Jauary's theme is blue.

I used bullet lists on days before the months start for monthly to-do's.

February is multi-color with red and orange.

Labels on Monday's are for newsletters I send.

March theme is green.

I put a heart flag on another day before the month starts, for fun.

Purple is for April.

I put an arrow decal on the first Friday's of the month.

May is yummy peach!

If there was a large sticker in the back, like this GOALS sticker, I put it in the monthly spread it matched.

GOALS was peach, so it went to the May layout.

EC made June a green month.

I also put labels on Saturday's, again for another newsletter I send.

I made July multi-color to work the labels in best.

I chose color-coordinating icon stickers to make cute bullet points for my list down the right page.

Yellow is for August.

If there was a quote label in the back in the matching color, I put it on the left page top near the coil.

This one says, "Do Your Best."

September is pretty purple!

I used TO DO stickers in the same color and layered them above the colored bar above the right page list, every time.

It makes for nice two-tone look. And says my list is a TO DO list.

October is orange, of course.

I marked family birthdays with the same color HAPPY BIRTHDAY labels.

Back to blue for November.

I put another color coordinated label above the next month calendar to highlight a big project for the next month.

December is green.

Sometimes I filled in missing labels with labels from my old planners.

 

And that's a wrap for the monthly layouts!

BLANK MONTHLY NOTES

I use these pages for my home monthly budget, recording my receipts for food, cars, and misc.

I put a label on each month's page.

NOTES IN THE BACK

More of the labels from the back of the planner were used to label the note pages in the back of my planner.

At this point, it was time to use leftover labels.

The colors have no rhyme or reason...but they work.
